Programme Policy Officer – Identity Management

About the role

The Programme Policy Officer for Identity Management will support the World Food Programme’s operations in Garowe, contributing to the implementation of the Country Strategic Plan 2026‑2030. The role focuses on developing and overseeing identity management policies that enable effective assistance to vulnerable populations, especially women and children, in a fragile food‑security context.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, coordinate and monitor identity management policies and procedures in line with WFP standards.
• Provide technical guidance to field teams on identity verification and data protection.
• Support the integration of identity management into programme planning and delivery.
• Collaborate with partners, government authorities and UN agencies to ensure coherent approaches.
• Contribute to reporting and analysis for the Country Strategic Plan.
