Project Officer – Immunization (Wajid District)

About the role

The Project Officer – Immunization will lead and support the implementation of Expanded Programme on Immunization (EPI) activities in the Wajid district and surrounding areas. Working closely with health partners, district authorities and community stakeholders, the officer ensures routine and outreach immunization services reach children under five and eligible women.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise routine immunization and supplemental outreach activities in targeted districts.
• Collaborate with the Ministry of Health, district health teams and implementing partners to ensure service delivery aligns with national EPI guidelines.
• Develop, update and monitor microplans for fixed, outreach and mobile immunization services.
• Conduct supportive supervision visits to health facilities and outreach sites, assessing service quality and adherence to standards.
• Monitor vaccine supply, cold chain performance and data quality, providing timely reports and analysis.
• Track key performance indicators, identify gaps and recommend corrective actions to meet project targets.

Required profile

• Experience in public health or immunization programs, preferably at district level.
• Strong ability to work with government health structures and NGOs.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Commitment to improving vaccine coverage for vulnerable populations.
