Field Manager – Hirshabelle (Somalia)

About the role

Save the Children is seeking an experienced Field Manager to lead programme operations in the Hirshabelle region of Somalia. The role ensures that humanitarian and development programmes are delivered on time, within budget, and meet donor and organisational performance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all programme activities in Hirshabelle, ensuring timely and budget‑compliant delivery.
• Monitor key performance indicators and produce regular donor reports.
• Manage the full programme cycle: assessments, design, proposal writing, implementation, monitoring and evaluation.
• Coordinate with government authorities, community leaders, implementing partners and donors.
• Ensure compliance with Save the Children’s quality framework, policies and financial procedures.

Required profile

• University degree in a relevant discipline.
• Minimum five years of experience managing large programmes in complex emergency contexts.
• Experience in health, livelihoods, child protection, education, nutrition or food security within an international NGO.
• Proven ability to coordinate diverse stakeholders and influence outcomes.
• Strong analytical, research and report‑writing capabilities.
• Solid financial management skills, especially budgeting and reporting.
