M&E Officer – Baidoa

About the role

The Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Officer will support the GiveWell Immunization program for World Vision in Baidoa, Somalia. Working under the M&E Manager, the officer will help design, monitor, and report on immunization project performance, ensuring alignment with project objectives and accountability standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement field monitoring checklists and tools for beneficiary communication.
• Track output data continuously and provide timely information to project staff.
• Conduct routine, real‑time, and post‑distribution monitoring to assess impact and quality.
• Collaborate with implementing partners, government health ministries, and coordination structures to ensure data integration and mutual accountability.
• Support the inclusion of immunization activities in HMIS and DHIS2 systems.
• Facilitate links with World Vision’s core MEAL unit, ECHO SHIP, and UNICEF projects for interoperability.

Required profile

• Experience in monitoring and evaluation of health or humanitarian projects.
• Familiarity with immunization program processes and beneficiary selection criteria.
• Ability to work closely with government ministries, NGOs, and consortium partners.
