Project Coordinator – BRCiS KOBAC Action

About the role

The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) is seeking an experienced Project Coordinator to join the BRCiS Consortium Management Unit in Mogadishu. The role will support the EU‑funded KOBAC Action, a 36‑month programme aimed at delivering nature‑based, durable solutions for displacement‑affected communities in South West State and Hirshabelle State, Somalia.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor the implementation of the KOBAC Action across assigned locations.
• Facilitate communication and partnership with local agencies (WARDI, HIJRA), the Federal Government, and other consortium members.
• Support the development and continuous refinement of Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) frameworks.
• Prepare and submit regular progress reports, financial updates, and compliance documents to EU donors and NRC headquarters.
• Assist in the design and delivery of whole‑system infrastructure, market‑based livelihoods, and government capacity‑building activities.
• Ensure adherence to the National Solutions Pathway Action Plan and the National Transformation Plan.

Required profile

• Proven experience in project coordination within humanitarian or development contexts, preferably in Somalia.
• Strong understanding of EU‑funded programme requirements and government‑driven initiatives.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; knowledge of Somali is an advantage.
