Project Manager – SomRep (Mogadishu)

About the role

We are seeking a Project Manager to lead the implementation of SomRep programmes in Mogadishu. The role oversees coordination, delivery, quality assurance and performance management of projects aimed at supporting vulnerable children in challenging environments.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and consolidate annual, quarterly and monthly implementation plans, translating proposals and budgets into actionable activities.
• Coordinate sequencing and integration of activities across partners, locations and technical areas, tracking outputs, milestones and procurement needs.
• Monitor programme performance, conduct regular implementation reviews, identify delays or gaps and drive corrective actions.
• Oversee budget execution, donor compliance, risk management and reporting, ensuring timely and accurate partner reports.
• Engage with federal, state and local government institutions to align interventions with policies, facilitate joint monitoring and strengthen institutional ownership.
• Collaborate with consortium members, donors, technical teams and other stakeholders to ensure evidence‑driven, accountable and sustainable outcomes.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing development or humanitarian projects, including programme planning and delivery.
• Strong ability to coordinate multiple partners and stakeholders across different levels of government.
• Demonstrated competence in budget oversight, donor compliance and risk management.
• Excellent analytical skills to review programme data, monitoring findings and financial performance.
• Capacity to produce high‑quality reports supported by verifiable evidence.
