AI Trainer – Audio Speech Recognition (Somali)

About the role

We are looking for language professionals to listen to audio clips in Somali, accurately transcribe spoken content, and ensure proper spelling, punctuation, and linguistic context. Your work will directly improve AI speech recognition systems.

Key responsibilities

• Listen to audio recordings and transcribe spoken Somali into written text.
• Maintain original meaning, context, and follow spelling, grammar, and formatting guidelines.
• Identify and correct missing words, misheard phrases, and transcription errors.
• Handle unclear speech, background noise, and challenging audio using prescribed procedures.

Required profile

• Native or fluent proficiency in Somali and English.
• Strong listening comprehension and concentration.
• Excellent written language skills, including spelling, grammar, and punctuation.

Required skills

• Experience in audio transcription, speech recognition, data annotation, translation, linguistic evaluation, or quality assurance (advantageous).
