Carlog IT Specialist

About the role

The Carlog IT Specialist will be based in Somalia and will manage and support Carlog fleet management systems and related transport applications. The role focuses on Power BI reporting, vehicle and driver data management, GPS tracking, UN driving permit systems, application support, system administration and technical troubleshooting.

Key responsibilities

• Generate daily, weekly and monthly Power BI reports and Carlog server reports on driver performance, vehicle usage, fuel consumption and other metrics.
• Provision, configure and maintain hardware and software components of the Carlog system, including installing equipment and configuring vehicles on the server.
• Print and activate UN driving permits, digitise driver and vehicle information, and assign vehicles to units or locations.
• Track vehicle status (operational, maintenance, incident) and monitor driver behaviour and vehicle performance via GPS devices.
• Create, maintain and update technical documentation, user guides and data models for reporting.

Required profile

• Diploma in Computer Technology or B.Sc. in IT.
• Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified System Administrator (MCSA), Cisco Certified Network Administrator (CCNA) or Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE).
