Consultant – Inclusive Wellbeing Screening & Intervention for Children with SEND

About the role

ADRA Somalia is seeking an experienced consultant to lead a comprehensive screening, assessment and intervention programme for children with special education needs and disabilities (SEND) in Las’anod District, Sool Region. The role focuses on developing inclusive wellbeing strategies that enable equitable access to quality education.

Key responsibilities

• Develop a detailed work plan for the assessment phase.
• Conduct screening and assessments of children with special needs and produce thorough reports.
• Recommend appropriate interventions, including equipment and support services.
• Create individual programme plans, implementation road‑maps and monitoring frameworks.
• Prepare specifications, cost estimates and a follow‑up work plan for implementation.

Required profile

• Proven expertise in special needs and inclusive education.
• Experience in designing and executing assessment and intervention plans.
• Strong understanding of early childhood development and disability inclusion.
• Ability to work collaboratively with local stakeholders and produce clear documentation.

• 40‑day consultancy contract (December 2025 – January 2026).
