Data Entry & Call Centre Intern

About the role

The Data Entry & Call Centre Intern supports data management, customer engagement, lead generation and client communication while gaining practical experience in customer service, data processing and remote operations. The intern maintains accurate records, makes and receives calls and supports outreach initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Enter, update, verify and maintain records in company databases and systems, and review and clean data.
• Conduct outbound calls and receive inbound calls professionally, providing information on products, services, programmes or campaigns.
• Follow up on inquiries, appointments, registrations and customer feedback, and maintain records of calls and interactions.
• Generate daily and weekly activity reports and meet assigned call, outreach and data-entry targets.
• Escalate customer concerns to the relevant departments and support surveys, research and lead-generation activities.
• Adhere to data protection, confidentiality and communication standards, and perform other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree currently pursued or recently completed in Business Administration, Communications, Customer Service, Information Technology, Marketing or a related field.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, strong attention to detail and good customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time in a remote environment, and to make and receive many calls.
• Personal laptop in good working condition, reliable internet and access to a smartphone.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
• Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
