Electrical Power Engineer

About the role

QC Renewable Energy seeks an experienced Electrical Power Engineer to design and deliver reliable power solutions across Somalia. You will work with an international team on solar PV, battery storage and grid‑connected projects.

Key responsibilities

• Design and analyse electrical power systems and grid infrastructure.
• Conduct grid connection studies and assess power supply solutions.
• Develop technical specifications and support equipment selection and integration.
• Plan, design and implement efficient power systems, including PV and BESS.
• Collaborate with industry partners, clients and multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Required profile

• University degree in electrical or power engineering.
• 8+ years of professional experience in power systems, utility networks or related projects.
• Involvement in at least 20 MW of solar projects (design, engineering, commissioning or delivery).
• Strong knowledge of power distribution, grid operation and electrical protection.
• Excellent problem‑analysis and practical engineering solution skills.
• Proficient written and spoken English.
