Fundraising Manager

About the role

Learning for Work (LFW) is looking for a dynamic Fundraising Manager to lead its resource mobilization strategy. The role is fully remote and focuses on securing funding from institutional donors, foundations, private sector partners, and development agencies.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising and resource mobilization strategy.
• Identify and pursue new funding opportunities from institutional and private donors.
• Lead the preparation of high‑quality proposals, concept notes, and grant applications.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with donors and strategic partners.
• Coordinate with programme and finance teams to create project budgets and funding proposals.
• Monitor donor requirements and ensure timely, quality reporting.
• Represent LFW at donor meetings, networking events, and partnership forums.
• Maintain an up‑to‑date funding pipeline and donor database.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, International Development, Public Administration, Social Sciences or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in fundraising, business development, grant management or donor relations within the NGO or development sector.
• Proven success securing funding from bilateral, multilateral, UN and private donors.
• Strong proposal writing, budgeting and communication abilities.
• Excellent relationship‑building and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
