Project Coordinator – Immunization

About the role

The Project Coordinator – Immunization will lead the GiveWell‑funded immunization program in South West State and Jubaland State, working closely with national and state health authorities, partners and health facilities. The role ensures high‑quality implementation of routine immunization activities, aiming to increase vaccine coverage for zero‑dose and under‑immunized children.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed implementation, procurement, budget and monitoring plans.
• Coordinate project activities with State Ministries of Health, District Health Authorities, WHO, UNICEF, Gavi and other stakeholders.
• Provide technical and managerial oversight to EPI Project Officers and field teams.
• Integrate project work into state and district health plans and facilitate regular coordination meetings.
• Represent the organization in EPI technical working groups, health cluster meetings and immunization coordination forums.
• Monitor progress, prepare reports and guide strategic improvements to meet donor and national standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience in coordinating health or immunization projects in low‑resource settings.
• Strong understanding of national EPI policies, WHO standards and donor reporting requirements.
• Excellent partnership and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage budgets effectively.
