Project Manager - SomRep (Mogadishu)

About the role

The Project Manager will lead the coordination, delivery and quality assurance of SomRep projects in Mogadishu. Reporting to senior programme staff, the role ensures activities are implemented on time, within budget and in line with donor, government and community requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and consolidate annual, quarterly and monthly implementation plans, translating proposals and budgets into practical work plans.
• Coordinate sequencing and integration of activities across partners, locations and technical areas.
• Track activities, outputs, milestones, procurement needs and contractual deliverables.
• Conduct regular implementation reviews, follow up on agreed actions and report progress.
• Ensure partners submit timely, accurate and verifiable reports.
• Lead engagement with federal, state, district and local government institutions to align with policies and strengthen ownership.
• Facilitate collaboration among consortium members, donors, technical teams and other stakeholders.
• Monitor programme data, financial performance and evaluation results to identify gaps and support corrective actions.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing humanitarian or development projects, preferably in a coordination or lead role.
• Strong understanding of budget oversight, donor compliance and risk management.
• Experience working with government bodies and multi‑partner consortia.
• Ability to analyse monitoring data, financial reports and evaluation findings.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
