Remote Accountant (US GAAP/UK GAAP)

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Accountant to join our remote team. You will be responsible for daily accounting operations, financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with US GAAP or UK GAAP/IFRS standards.

Key responsibilities

• Record daily financial transactions, including expenses, revenue, and invoices in the general ledger.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (balance sheets, profit & loss) in accordance with the applicable accounting framework.
• Perform bank reconciliations, monitor accounts payable/receivable, and ensure tax compliance.
• Compute tax payments, prepare tax returns, and process payroll in line with local regulations.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, expense monitoring, and identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and explanations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of proven experience as an Accountant or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP or UK Accounting Principles (IFRS/UK GAAP).
• CPA (US) or ACCA/ACA/CIMA (UK) preferred.
• Excellent analytical abilities, high attention to detail, and ability to meet tight deadlines.
