Programme Assistant – Education

About the role

The Programme Assistant – Education supports Save the Children’s education programmes in Beledweyn, Somalia. Reporting to the ECW Education Program Officer, the assistant ensures daily implementation of activities and drives community outreach to promote sensitisation, mobilisation and participation of target groups.

Key responsibilities

• Implement day‑to‑day education programme activities in line with project plans.
• Coordinate community outreach, sensitisation and mobilisation efforts.
• Facilitate participation of beneficiaries and local stakeholders.
• Support case management, coaching and mentorship initiatives.
• Assist with basic project planning, monitoring and reporting.

Required profile

• Diploma in Education or Social Science.
• Minimum one year of experience in community mobilisation, education management, coaching, mentorship or case management.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to build relationships with community members and partners.
• Basic understanding of project planning, implementation and monitoring.
