Somali Remote Consecutive Interpreter (On‑Demand)

About the role

Reviver is seeking an experienced Somali interpreter to provide on‑demand consecutive interpretation remotely. You will support phone calls, video sessions and other virtual meetings, ensuring clear communication between Somali‑speaking clients and English‑speaking professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver consecutive interpretation during phone calls, meetings, conferences and interviews.
• Listen to the source language and accurately render the message in the target language after a brief pause.
• Maintain professionalism, confidentiality and cultural sensitivity throughout each assignment.
• Observe HIPAA requirements and follow Reviver’s protocols, policies and industry best practices.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of professional interpretation experience or 3 000+ hours of active interpreting.
• Proficiency in Somali and English, with English rated at “technical proficiency” on the ILR scale or equivalent.
• Successful completion of Reviver’s Mock Call assessment.
• Updated résumé showing relevant interpretation work.
• Clear criminal background check (English version).
• Reliable technical setup: headset, stable internet connection and laptop.
