Data Management Specialist

About the role

Sahan Labs is seeking a full‑time Data Management Specialist to join its team in Galkayo. You will be responsible for organizing, maintaining, and enhancing data quality across multiple systems and projects, supporting evidence‑based decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Implement data management procedures and monitor data quality.
• Support master data management (MDM) initiatives and coordinate data updates.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure data governance standards are followed.
• Document data definitions, processes, and workflows.
• Generate reports and analyses to guide operational and strategic decisions.
• Troubleshoot data issues and contribute to the design of data tools.

Required profile

• Strong experience in data management, master data management, data governance, and data quality.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and identify trends.
• Hands‑on experience with databases, spreadsheets, and data‑management tools.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and clear documentation ability.
• Effective communication and collaboration with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in information management, data science, computer science, statistics, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
