Project Officer – CORE Group Partners Project (Papua)

About the role

The Project Officer will support the District Coordinator in delivering the CORE Group Partners Project activities in Papua, focusing on polio eradication and immunisation system strengthening. This frontline position works directly with communities, volunteers and health staff to ensure high‑quality implementation and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the District Coordinator in planning, executing and monitoring project activities according to the approved plan and targets.
• Facilitate community‑level engagement, including coordination of kaders, volunteers and health personnel for immunisation and surveillance.
• Support data collection, micro‑planning at puskesmas and community level for routine immunisation (RI), supplementary immunisation activities (SIA) and case‑based surveillance (CBS).
• Identify community barriers and opportunities, document lessons learned and contribute to strategy development.
• Ensure compliance with donor requirements, humanitarian standards and efficient use of resources, including inventory management.

Required profile

• Experience supporting district‑level health projects or humanitarian programmes.
• Ability to work closely with implementing partners and local NGOs.
• Strong community engagement and coordination skills.
