Protection Information Management Assistant

About the role

The Protection Information Management Assistant will support the Danish Refugee Council’s Referral Management System (RMS) to ensure high‑quality protection data, timely reporting and secure information handling. The role combines data validation, dashboard creation and user support to strengthen coordinated referrals and evidence‑based decision‑making in humanitarian programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Implement, maintain and administer the RMS on a daily basis.
• Validate, clean, deduplicate and conduct quality‑assurance checks on protection data.
• Monitor referral workflows, resolve data and system issues promptly.
• Develop and maintain digital data collection tools, manage imports/exports and support system integrations.
• Create dashboards, visualisations and analytical reports to inform programme monitoring and coordination.
• Analyse protection data to identify trends, gaps and operational priorities.
• Provide first‑line technical support, onboarding and training for staff and partners.
• Assist with system testing, documentation and rollout of new RMS features.
• Ensure confidentiality and secure handling of protection information in line with DRC policies and data‑protection principles.
• Liaise with programme teams, partners and developers to continuously improve the RMS and reporting processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Management, Computer Science, Data Science, GIS or a related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in information or protection data management, preferably in the humanitarian sector.
• Experience with case‑management or protection information systems such as the RMS.
• Demonstrated ability to manage data quality through validation, cleaning and deduplication.
• Familiarity with DRC data‑protection policies and data‑sharing agreements is an advantage.
