Senior Logistics Officer (P5)

About the role

The United Nations Support Office in Somalia (UNSOS) is seeking a Senior Logistics Officer (P5) to lead the Mission Support Centre (MSC) in Mogadishu. Reporting to the Chief of Operations and Resource Management, the officer will oversee the delivery of logistics services to a range of mandated partners, including AUSSOM, UNTMIS, and the Somali Security Forces.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and monitor logistics operations for all supported entities.
• Liaise with the African Union Support and Stabilization Mission in Somalia, the United Nations Transitional Assistance Mission in Somalia, Somali Security Forces and other partners to ensure timely support.
• Manage the MSC team and serve as the primary point of contact for logistics matters.
• Ensure compliance with UN logistics policies and standards.

Required profile

• Senior‑level professional with extensive experience in logistics management.
• Demonstrated ability to lead a multi‑agency logistics centre.
• Strong coordination and communication skills with international and national stakeholders.
