Senior Officer, Customer Service, Care Chemicals – Japanese Speaking

About the role

The Senior Officer in Customer Service for Care Chemicals will ensure end‑to‑end Order‑to‑Cash (OTC) processes run accurately and on time while supporting key customer accounts. The role requires strong supervision skills, Japanese language proficiency, and the ability to act as a bridge between customers and internal functions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage order creation, changes, delivery coordination, invoicing, and exception handling.
• Monitor order status, supply availability, and delivery performance, communicating updates to customers and stakeholders.
• Handle returns, credit/debit notes, and customer complaints via the NCM system, ensuring timely resolution.
• Provide day‑to‑day supervision, coaching, workload allocation, and escalation handling for the Customer Service team.
• Serve as primary contact for assigned key accounts, coordinating with Sales, Supply Chain, Finance, and Production.
• Act as process expert for OTC‑related processes and support cross‑functional collaboration.

Required profile

• Proven experience in customer service operations within a chemical or industrial environment.
• Demonstrated supervisory or team‑lead experience.
• Fluent Japanese language skills (spoken and written).
• Strong analytical mindset with focus on compliance and data transparency.
