Supplier Quality Engineer

About the role

The Supplier Quality Engineer will ensure that all quality management (QM) rules are applied in accordance with ISO9001, IATF16949, ISO14001, ISO45001, VDA and AIAG procedures. The role focuses on resolving quality issues, supporting process enhancements, and driving a proactive QM mindset across the business unit.

Key responsibilities

• Cooperate with sales and engineering teams to define process parameters and ensure supplier capability for critical products and processes.
• Conduct supplier audits (potential, annual, product, and process) and assess practices to identify improvement areas.
• Manage supplier quality activities, monitor performance, validate 8D reports, and collect failure cost data.
• Drive Quality Assurance Agreements (QSV) with suppliers and execute them.
• Support supplier nomination, APQP, OTS, PPAP, and project audits.
• Apply quality tools such as Cp/Cpk, SPC, R&R, and 8D to analyze and improve supplier performance.

Required profile

• Experience applying ISO9001, IATF16949, ISO14001, ISO45001, VDA and AIAG quality standards.
• Proven ability to conduct supplier audits and drive continuous improvement.
• Familiarity with supplier evaluation, performance monitoring, and compensation processes.

Required skills

• Quality management systems (QM) knowledge.
• Quality tools: Cp/Cpk, Statistical Process Control (SPC), Repeatability & Reproducibility (R&R), 8‑D problem solving.
• APQP, Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), and OTS documentation.
• Supplier audit techniques and Quality Assurance Agreements.
