Transport Management Executive

About the role

The Transport Management Executive is responsible for overseeing inbound and outbound sea‑freight transport operations within the EMEA region. The role ensures that shipments are executed in line with company guidelines, customer deadlines and cost‑optimal conditions while maintaining high service quality.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute outbound sea‑freight transports for packaged deliveries, managing loading, consolidation and de‑consolidation activities at internal and external sites.
• Coordinate inbound sea‑freight transports to BASF sites, ensuring loading plans meet site‑specific service levels and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor shipment milestones, provide timely updates to stakeholders and handle any exceptions.
• Assess and monitor transport service providers for reliability, quality and cost efficiency.
• Prepare and file all required transport documentation, including freight accounting records and cost analyses.
• Support continuous process improvement, knowledge sharing and risk management for overseas delivery services.

Required profile

• Proven experience in transport or logistics management, preferably with sea‑freight operations.
• Strong understanding of legal, safety and packaging regulations applicable to international shipments.
• Ability to work with multiple internal and external partners and maintain clear communication.
• Attention to detail in documentation, cost control and milestone tracking.
