General Manager – Tuna Processing Factory

About the role

The Factory General Manager provides day‑to‑day operational and strategic leadership for Bareeda Tuna Factory, overseeing tuna procurement, processing, quality, finance, HR, sales and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the company’s strategic and annual business plans and report progress to the Board.
• Supervise tuna‑processing and canning operations, ensuring production targets, yield, waste control and equipment maintenance.
• Maintain food‑safety and quality standards through HACCP, GMP, sanitation and traceability systems.
• Prepare annual budgets, monitor cash flow, production costs and profitability, and ensure robust financial controls.
• Manage procurement and supply‑chain relationships with fishermen, suppliers and logistics providers to secure raw material and packaging supplies.
• Lead sales, marketing and distribution efforts, set pricing strategies and expand domestic and export markets.
