Geotechnical Driller Technician (Offshore/Onshore)

About the role

The Geotechnical Driller Technician will work full‑time on‑site in Mogadishu on a short‑term contract, operating and maintaining drilling rigs and heavy equipment for geotechnical investigations both on‑shore and offshore. The role ensures drilling activities meet project specifications, technical requirements and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform drilling operations for soil and rock sampling.
• Conduct offshore geotechnical drilling activities.
• Operate and maintain drilling rigs and related equipment.
• Prepare and manage HSEQ documentation and reporting.

Required profile

• Certificate, diploma or equivalent technical qualification in drilling, geotechnical, civil or mining technology.
• 5‑7 years of relevant drilling experience.
• Experience with CPT or other in‑situ testing equipment is an advantage.
• Offshore safety and medical certifications for offshore candidates.
• Proven ability to operate or assist with geotechnical drilling equipment and understand drilling tools and procedures.
