Medical Laboratory Technician

About the role

The Medical Laboratory Technician will work on‑site at The Good Life Clinic in Hargeisa, supporting the clinic’s detox and wellness programs. This full‑time position involves performing routine and specialized laboratory tests, ensuring accurate results for client‑centered care.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, prepare, and analyze biological samples according to established protocols.
• Operate, maintain, and calibrate laboratory equipment daily.
• Monitor test performance, document results precisely, and report findings to clinical staff.
• Apply quality control procedures to guarantee reliability and safety of all laboratory activities.
• Maintain a clean, safe laboratory environment and adhere to biosafety and infection‑prevention standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely test reporting and troubleshoot technical issues.

Required profile

• Relevant diploma or degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or a related field.
• Current licensure or certification as required by local regulations.
• Prior experience in a clinical or wellness‑focused laboratory setting is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work accurately under time constraints.
