GBV Programme Officer (Gedo)

About the role

Trócaire is seeking a GBV Programme Officer to support local partners in delivering gender‑based violence prevention and response activities for internally displaced and host communities in the Gedo region. The role involves establishing Women and Girls Centres, overseeing case management, and ensuring compliance with donor and international standards.

Key responsibilities

• Support partners in implementing and tracking GBV activities, including monitoring, evaluation, learning and budget monitoring.
• Provide capacity‑building assistance and ensure timely, high‑quality narrative and financial reporting to Trócaire.
• Ensure GBV principles and guidelines are applied by all staff and that interventions meet international standards.
• Manage grants to local partners using a survivor‑centred “Communities Care” approach.
• Oversee data collection, analysis and reporting for Monitoring & Evaluation.
• Represent Trócaire at UN, NGO and coordination meetings at regional and national levels.
• Supervise staff working in Women and Girls Centres and support health‑worker training.

Required profile

• Experience in GBV programme implementation, grant management and partner support.
• Familiarity with humanitarian standards for GBV prevention, case management and clinical response.
• Ability to work with local partners, build capacity and ensure compliance with donor requirements.
• Strong coordination skills for representing the organisation in multi‑stakeholder settings.
