Mixed Migration Coordinator – Humanitarian Programme

About the role

The Mixed Migration Coordinator will provide technical oversight and support to sectorial teams working on mixed migration contexts in Somalia. Reporting to the Head of Programme, the role ensures that protection, emergency and livelihood interventions follow DRC’s Mixed Migration Policy and are evidence‑based, context‑appropriate and rights‑respecting.

Key responsibilities

• Guide the development and implementation of the country strategy to ensure inclusion and safety of people on the move.
• Analyse mixed migration dynamics using protection monitoring data and other sources to inform programme design and advocacy.
• Develop, harmonise and adapt technical tools, SOPs and guidance for mixed migration interventions.
• Provide day‑to‑day technical supervision, capacity building and mentorship to DRC staff and implementing partners.
• Lead the P2P programme, overseeing strategic planning, resource allocation, risk management and performance monitoring.

Required profile

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in mixed migration programming, preferably with an INGO.
• Master’s degree in law, political science, international development, sociology or a related field.
• Experience in route‑based programming and knowledge of international refugee and migrant protection law.
