Senior Somali Linguistic QA Tester (Remote) - Mac M-Series Required

About the role

Acclaro is looking for an experienced Senior Somali Linguistic QA Tester to work remotely on software and AI model localization projects. You will ensure that English‑to‑Somali content meets linguistic, cultural, and functional standards while using a secure Mac‑based testing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Execute comprehensive linguistic QA on localized software interfaces and AI‑generated content.
• Identify, log, and track linguistic errors, visual layout issues, and functional defects using standard issue‑tracking workflows.
• Enforce project glossaries, style guides, and brand‑specific localization standards.
• Validate cultural relevance and idiomatic accuracy for the Somali market.
• Collaborate with lead engineers and remote QA leads, providing feedback and linguistic solutions in clear English.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 + years of hands‑on experience in linguistic QA, software localization testing, proofreading, or professional translation (English → Somali).
• Native fluency in Somali with strong command of grammar, typography, and orthography.
• Professional‑level written English skills.
• Own a Mac computer equipped with an Apple Silicon M‑series chip (M1, M2, M3, M4 or newer).
