Project Officer – Immunization (Baidoa)

About the role

The Project Officer – Immunization will lead and support the implementation of Expanded Programme on Immunization (EPI) activities in Baidoa and surrounding districts. Working closely with health partners, the officer ensures routine and outreach immunization services reach children under five and eligible women.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and support routine immunization services and supplemental outreach activities in Baidoa, Burhakaba, and Dinsoor.
• Collaborate with the Ministry of Health, district health teams, health facility staff, and implementing partners.
• Develop and regularly update micro‑plans for fixed, outreach, and mobile immunization services.
• Conduct supportive supervision visits to assess service quality and adherence to EPI standards.
• Monitor vaccine supply, cold chain conditions, and data quality; ensure timely reporting of immunization data.
• Track key performance indicators and recommend corrective actions to meet project targets.

Required profile

• Experience in coordinating immunization or public health projects at district level.
• Familiarity with national EPI guidelines and donor reporting requirements.
• Ability to work with health authorities, facility staff, and community stakeholders.
• Strong organizational and monitoring skills.
