Linguistic Tester – English to Somali (IT/Software)

About the role

Acclaro is seeking native Somali speakers with strong English comprehension to join its remote team as Linguistic Testers. You will work on AI‑generated and localized content within the information‑technology domain, ensuring language quality and functional performance of software applications.

Key responsibilities

• Perform linguistic quality assurance on AI‑generated and localized UI strings, documentation, and other content.
• Test software applications for language accuracy, UI consistency, and functional performance.
• Identify, document, and report linguistic and technical bugs, errors, and inconsistencies.
• Collaborate with remote QA and development teams to clarify issues and verify fixes.

Required profile

• Native proficiency in Somali and good command of English.
• Strong understanding of cultural nuances and localization best practices.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high‑quality output.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and communicate effectively in a remote environment.
• Access to a Mac device with an M‑series chip (M1, M2, M3, or M4) – mandatory for the project.
