Monitoring & Evaluation Officer – Baidoa

About the role

The Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Officer will support the GiveWell Immunization program for World Vision and its implementing partners in Baidoa. Working under the M&E Manager, the officer will help design, track, and report on project performance to ensure immunization targets are met.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and update field monitoring checklists and data collection tools.
• Track output data regularly and provide timely information to project staff.
• Support accountability activities and ensure beneficiaries are informed about project goals, selection criteria, and timelines.
• Conduct routine, real‑time, and post‑distribution monitoring and feed results back to managers.
• Facilitate collaboration among GiveWell implementing partners and ensure mutual accountability.
• Coordinate with state and district health ministries, MoPIED, and other government structures for participatory monitoring.
• Establish links with World Vision Somalia MEAL Unit, ECHO SHIP, and UNICEF projects to promote data interoperability.

Required profile

• Relevant degree in public health, international development, or a related field.
• Experience in monitoring and evaluation of health or immunization programs.
• Familiarity with humanitarian accountability standards and MEAL frameworks.
• Ability to work closely with government agencies and multiple partners.
