Project Officer – Immunization (Dhobley)

About the role

The Project Officer – Immunization will lead and support the implementation of Expanded Programme on Immunization (EPI) activities in Dhobley and surrounding districts. Working closely with health partners, district authorities and community stakeholders, the officer will ensure routine and outreach immunisation services reach children under five and eligible women.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and support routine immunisation services and supplemental outreach activities in targeted districts.
• Collaborate with the Ministry of Health, district health teams and implementing partners to deliver high‑quality immunisation services.
• Develop, update and monitor micro‑plans for fixed, outreach and mobile immunisation sessions.
• Conduct supportive supervision visits to health facilities and outreach sites, ensuring compliance with national EPI standards.
• Monitor vaccine supply, cold‑chain performance and data quality, reporting key indicators to inform decision‑making.
• Identify gaps against project targets and recommend corrective actions.

Required profile

• Experience in planning, coordinating and monitoring immunisation programmes at district level.
• Strong knowledge of national EPI guidelines, donor requirements and vaccine cold‑chain management.
• Ability to work with health authorities, NGOs and community leaders.
• Excellent analytical skills for data collection, analysis and reporting.
