About the role
The Compliance Officer will support Amanah Insurance in meeting its regulatory, policy and ethical obligations. Working closely with the CEO, CFO and various departments, the role strengthens internal compliance practices, monitors regulatory changes and promotes a culture of integrity and accountability across the organisation.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in preparing and submitting regulatory and statutory reports within required deadlines.
- Maintain records of regulatory filings, compliance obligations and official correspondence.
- Monitor regulatory developments, communicate key changes to management and support follow‑up with regulators.
- Implement and update compliance policies, procedures and internal controls.
- Conduct compliance checks, monitoring reviews and internal control assessments, tracking issues and corrective actions.
- Support AML, KYC and due‑diligence processes, reviewing customer documentation and flagging unusual transactions.
- Coordinate compliance awareness and staff training, track mandatory training completion and provide basic guidance.
- Assist internal and external audit processes related to compliance matters.
Required profile
- Relevant tertiary education in law, finance, risk management or a related field.
- Experience in insurance or financial services compliance is preferred.
- Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with senior management.
- High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information.
