Cabinetry Engineer & CAD Drafter – Custom Millwork

About the role

We are a high‑end custom millwork and cabinetry shop looking for a Cabinetry Engineer / CAD Drafter to create precise production drawings for our premium projects. The role blends technical drafting expertise with a solid understanding of cabinetry construction.

Key responsibilities

• Produce detailed shop drawings, elevations, sections and component details for custom cabinetry and architectural millwork using CAD software.
• Translate design concepts, architectural plans and specifications into production‑ready documentation.
• Collaborate with designers, project managers and the shop floor team to verify feasibility and accuracy.
• Update and revise drawings based on feedback, field conditions and project changes.
• Perform material takeoffs and assist with production planning as required.
• Maintain organized project files and ensure all documentation meets company standards and project timelines.

Required profile

• Proven experience in cabinetry drafting, millwork engineering or a closely related field.
• Strong attention to detail, problem‑solving ability and capacity to meet deadlines.
• Self‑motivated, organized and comfortable working in a collaborative team environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CAD software such as AutoCAD and Cabinet Vision.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of cabinetry construction methods and materials.
• Familiarity with SketchUp or similar 3‑D modeling tools is a plus.
