Chief Financial Officer (CFO) – Finance Leadership Role

About the role

The Chief Financial Officer will provide strategic financial leadership for Dahabshiil Electronics, guiding the finance function through rapid regional growth. Reporting to the CEO, the CFO will shape financial strategy, ensure compliance, and support executive decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the company’s financial strategy, planning, budgeting and forecasting.
• Prepare and present monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports to senior management.
• Oversee accounting, treasury, tax, cash‑flow and working‑capital management.
• Build financial models to evaluate investment and expansion opportunities.
• Strengthen internal controls, corporate governance and risk‑management frameworks.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, local tax laws and statutory reporting requirements.
• Lead external audits and coordinate with auditors and regulators.
• Monitor performance through financial KPIs and profitability analysis.
• Manage banking relationships and financing arrangements.
• Mentor the finance team and drive continuous process improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field.
• Professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CA or CMA) preferred.
• 3–5 years of progressive finance leadership experience, including senior finance management.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, financial reporting, budgeting, taxation and internal controls.
• Experience in retail, electronics, distribution or construction is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems (Odoo, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics 365).
• Advanced Microsoft Excel for financial analysis.
• Financial modeling and forecasting expertise.
• In‑depth understanding of IFRS standards.
