Digital Marketing Officer (Volunteer Internship)

About the role

The Digital Marketing Officer will support Taran Academic Hub’s online presence by creating and managing content across multiple social platforms. This 6‑month volunteer internship offers hands‑on experience in promoting scholarships, university admissions, and educational events.

Key responsibilities

• Manage Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and TikTok accounts.
• Create posts, stories, reels and other promotional content.
• Design graphics and marketing materials.
• Produce and edit short‑form videos.
• Support digital campaigns for scholarships, universities and events.
• Write engaging captions and promotional messages.
• Schedule and monitor content using Meta Business Suite.

Required profile

• Undergraduate or postgraduate students, recent graduates, or anyone with relevant creativity and professionalism.
• Good written English; Somali language skills are a plus.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Required skills

• Social media management and content creation.
• Graphic design.
• Video editing using Canva, CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro or similar tools.
• Familiarity with Meta Business Suite.
