Government Public Affairs Officer – Somaliland

About the role

RegalEarth Group is looking for a Government Public Affairs Officer to act as the primary liaison between the company and Somaliland government authorities. The role ensures smooth handling of licensing, documentation, compliance and institutional communication, supporting the continuity of on‑ground operations.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the main point of contact with Somaliland ministries, departments and administrative bodies.
• Coordinate licensing, permits, registrations, immigration matters and work permits.
• Monitor compliance requirements, policy updates and administrative developments affecting operations.
• Manage responses to inspections, official inquiries and regulatory requests.
• Draft, review, organise and maintain official correspondence, applications, reports and memoranda.
• Ensure all submissions meet local procedural and formatting standards.
• Maintain accurate records of approvals, renewals and ongoing submissions.
• Support internal teams with required documentation and administrative processing.

Required profile

• Proven experience in government relations, regulatory coordination or public affairs.
• Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with government stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of licensing, permits and compliance processes in Somaliland.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Capacity to support operational continuity and coordinate official engagements.
