Head of Reporting

About the role

The Ministry of Finance in Somaliland seeks a part‑time Head of Reporting to lead the preparation, consolidation and analysis of financial reports. Based on‑site in Hargeisa, you will ensure that all financial statements comply with applicable standards and support transparent decision‑making across the ministry.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the preparation and consolidation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.
• Develop and maintain reporting frameworks that meet national and international standards.
• Analyze financial data to provide actionable insights for senior management.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to guarantee accuracy, completeness and timeliness of reports.
• Guide the team in the preparation of financial statements and ensure compliance with fiscal policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field; CPA, ACCA or advanced degree preferred.
• Strong analytical ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Detail‑oriented with excellent organizational skills.
• Proven leadership and communication capabilities.
• Experience in public financial management is a plus.
