Hotel Manager

About the role

Brites Management Services is hiring a full-time Hotel Manager in Mogadishu, Somalia. The role provides overall leadership of all hotel operations, from front office and housekeeping to finance, sales and marketing, and human resources, while ensuring high standards of guest service, efficiency and profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and direct all hotel operations, set operational policies and service standards, and monitor departmental performance
• Deliver exceptional guest service, handle escalated complaints and act on guest feedback
• Manage annual budgets, monitor revenue, occupancy and ADR, approve expenditures and prepare reports for senior management
• Work with sales and marketing to grow occupancy and revenue, and build relationships with corporate clients, travel agencies and government institutions
• Recruit, mentor and evaluate staff, and ensure compliance with labour laws, health and safety and licensing requirements
• Maintain risk management and emergency response procedures and internal controls

Required profile

• Degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration or a related field
• At least 10 years of progressive experience in the hospitality industry
• At least 5 years in a senior management role in a four-star or higher hotel
• Proven success managing hotel operations, financial performance and large teams
• Professional hospitality certifications and experience in multicultural or international settings are an added advantage
