Joint Support Operations Centre Officer – Fixed Term (Mogadishu)

About the role

The Joint Support Operations Centre (JSOC) Officer supports the coordination, monitoring and reporting of integrated mission support activities for the African Union Support and Stabilization Mission in Somalia. Reporting to the Senior JSOC Officer, the incumbent contributes to situational awareness, information management and crisis monitoring in a complex, high‑risk environment.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor integrated mission support activities across civilian, police and military components.
• Collect, consolidate, analyse and disseminate operational support information to enhance mission sustainment and continuity.
• Support information management, operational reporting and coordination processes related to mission support.
• Monitor incidents, operational developments and support‑related issues that may affect mission operations.
• Prepare operational support updates, situation reports, briefing materials and other coordination products for mission leadership and stakeholders.
• Maintain liaison with mission components and relevant external partners to ensure effective support delivery.

• Reports to the Senior Joint Support Operations Centre Officer.
• Based in Mogadishu, Somalia.
• No direct or indirect reports.
• Grade P2, Fixed‑term contract.
