Legal Data Analyst

About the role

The Legal Data Analyst will collect, analyze, and interpret legal and regulatory data to support decision‑making, compliance oversight, and risk management. Working remotely, you will translate complex legal information—such as contracts, case records, and policy documents—into actionable insights for legal strategy and business operations.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze large legal datasets (litigation outcomes, regulatory filings, contract terms) to identify trends, risks and opportunities.
• Translate findings into insights for legal strategy, compliance and business decisions.
• Create and maintain high‑quality training data, craft prompts for large language models, and evaluate model outputs for legal relevance.
• Support regulatory compliance by analysing emerging requirements and mapping them to internal processes.
• Design interactive dashboards and reports using BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Lead automation initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce operational risk.
• Optimize deployment of legal technology tools, including AI‑driven solutions.
• Assist in data‑governance practices, including classification, retention and quality standards for legal data assets.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in legal analysis, legal operations, compliance analytics or data analysis within a legal environment.
• Advanced SQL skills for querying large datasets.
• Proficiency in Python for data analysis.
• Ability to convert complex legal concepts into data structures and quantitative analyses.
• Strong problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
• Experience in at least one area such as litigation analytics, regulatory compliance (GDPR, CCPA, AML/KYC), contract analytics, intellectual property or privacy law.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
