About the role
The Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) Officer will support the development and implementation of MEAL systems for CIVIC’s Somalia programme, ensuring robust data collection, analysis and evidence management across field locations.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain programme‑level MEAL frameworks, indicators, baselines and targets.
- Maintain results databases, indicator tracking systems and evidence repositories.
- Conduct routine data quality checks and ensure credible evidence for programme results.
- Manage portfolio‑level results frameworks, linking project data to overall programme outcomes.
- Support assessment of changes in knowledge, attitudes, behaviour, institutional capacity and community protection.
Required profile
- Experience in monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning in conflict‑affected settings.
- Strong technical skills in data collection, analysis and results tracking.
- Ability to work in field environments, spending 50‑60% of time on programme locations.
