Senior Quality Assurance & Accreditation Specialist

About the role

The Quality Assurance & Accreditation Specialist will join NTU International A/S’s core team for the EU‑funded Higher Education System Strengthening Project II in Somalia. Based in Mogadishu, the senior specialist will support the implementation of the project’s objective to enhance coordination, regulation and sustainability of higher‑education interventions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and roll‑out national quality‑assurance (QA) frameworks for higher‑education institutions.
• Design and conduct institutional audits, self‑assessment processes and external evaluations.
• Train QA officers and help establish dedicated QA units within universities.
• Provide technical guidance on international and African QA standards and accreditation bodies.
• Collaborate with project partners to strengthen the overall capacity of Somalia’s higher‑education system.

Required profile

• Master’s degree or higher in education, quality assurance, institutional management or a related field.
• Formal training in QA frameworks and accreditation standards.
• Fluency in English; proficiency in Somali is a strong asset.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in higher‑education QA and accreditation, including development of national QA frameworks.
• Proven experience in designing and conducting institutional audits and external evaluations.
• Track record of training QA personnel and establishing QA units within universities.
• Familiarity with international and African QA standards and accreditation bodies.
