Space Applications Expert – Earth Observation & Copernicus

About the role

NTU International is seeking a highly qualified Space Applications Expert to support the Africa‑EU Space Partnership Programme (AESPP Boost). The expert will lead the development, deployment and uptake of Earth Observation services, focusing on solutions that leverage Copernicus data to address climate, environmental and development challenges across Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver Earth Observation services and applications using Copernicus data and products.
• Support policy dialogue, knowledge exchange and capacity building with African institutions.
• Promote private‑sector engagement and investment in EO solutions.
• Provide technical guidance on early‑warning, climate monitoring, agriculture, water management and biodiversity applications.
• Contribute to project proposals, reports and stakeholder workshops.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in geomatics, remote sensing, environmental science, meteorology, engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of professional experience in Earth Observation, geospatial services or climate/environmental services.
• At least 4 years of experience designing EO services with Copernicus data.
• Excellent command of English; working knowledge of French or Portuguese is an asset.
• Experience collaborating with African institutions is a plus.
