Training and Capacity-Building Facilitator

About the role

NTU International A/S is seeking a junior Training and Capacity-Building Facilitator to join the core team of the EU‑funded Higher Education System Strengthening Project II in Somalia. The role focuses on enhancing the capacity of the higher education system to improve coordination, regulation, and sustainability of interventions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deliver capacity‑building programmes for adult learners in the higher education sector.
• Facilitate workshops, coaching sessions, and mentoring activities for ministry and university staff.
• Create and adapt training materials, ensuring relevance to participants’ needs.
• Monitor and assess training effectiveness, providing feedback and adjustments as required.
• Utilise virtual and blended‑learning platforms and manage logistical arrangements for training events.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in education, adult‑learning, human‑resource development or a related field.
• Minimum five years of experience designing and facilitating capacity‑building programmes for adult learners, preferably in education.
• Proven ability to develop training materials and deliver effective workshops.
• Experience assessing training outcomes and adapting content accordingly.

Required skills

• Familiarity with training‑of‑trainers approaches and adult‑learning methodologies.
• Experience with virtual or blended‑learning platforms.
