Project Manager – Health & Nutrition (South West, Jubaland, Hirshabele)

About the role

The Project Manager will lead the implementation of Health & Nutrition programmes across South West, Jubaland and Hirshabele states of Somalia. Reporting to the Area Manager and working closely with the Health & Nutrition Technical Specialist, the role provides supervision to field staff and ensures project objectives are met.

Key responsibilities

• Head field‑level implementation of health and nutrition projects, ensuring outcomes are achieved.
• Plan, direct and coordinate project activities, including DIP development, procurement planning and budget projections.
• Manage project documentation, budgets and compliance with donor requirements.
• Lead sub‑grantee agencies and partners in participatory planning and ensure adherence to technical standards.
• Prepare regular performance reports, gather data from project officers and compile progress updates.
• Maintain liaison with local authorities, donor representatives and other stakeholders using an appropriate accountability framework.
• Provide standardized tools and documents to the project team to ensure consistent operations.
• Design strategies, create partnerships and ensure interventions comply with donor guidelines.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in implementing health and nutrition programmes in South West, Jubaland or Hirshabele states of Somalia.
• Ability to supervise and coordinate multidisciplinary field teams.
• Experience representing projects to donors, local authorities and government stakeholders.
