Vascular Surgeon

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Vascular Surgeon to lead and deliver comprehensive vascular care within a multidisciplinary hospital setting. The role involves managing complex arterial and venous conditions, performing both open and endovascular procedures, and coordinating patient care across multiple specialties.

Key responsibilities

• Assess and treat peripheral arterial disease, acute limb ischemia, diabetic foot vascular disease, venous disorders, vascular trauma, aneurysms and dialysis access.
• Perform vascular examinations, Doppler ultrasound interpretation, embolectomy, thrombectomy, bypass surgery, vascular repairs, fasciotomy, debridement, amputations and arteriovenous fistula creation.
• Utilise advanced endovascular and hybrid techniques for carotid, aneurysm and limb‑salvage procedures.
• Manage anticoagulation and antiplatelet therapy, oversee imaging pathways, wound care, infection control and postoperative monitoring.
• Collaborate closely with ICU, radiology, nephrology, diabetic care, general surgery, anesthesia and nursing teams.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MBBS/MD or equivalent) with postgraduate general surgery training.
• Specialist vascular qualification (e.g., MCh Vascular, FRCS Vascular, Fellowship, Arab Board) and a valid specialist/consultant licence or eligibility.
• Minimum of 7 years of independent vascular surgery practice after qualification.
• Advanced training in endovascular procedures, limb salvage, vascular access, carotid surgery, aneurysm repair or hybrid techniques (preferred).
