Communications & Visibility Officer (Junior) – Mogadishu

About the role

NTU International A/S is seeking a junior Communications & Visibility Officer to join the core team of the EU‑funded Higher Education System Strengthening Project II in Somalia. The role focuses on enhancing the project’s visibility, coordinating communications, and supporting stakeholder engagement throughout the 36‑month contract.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement communication and visibility plans in line with EU donor guidelines.
• Create and disseminate newsletters, press releases, case studies, and social‑media content.
• Manage the project’s social‑media channels using appropriate management tools.
• Design graphics and visual materials to support project messaging.
• Coordinate public events, media briefings, and stakeholder outreach activities.
• Monitor media coverage and report on communication impact.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, public relations or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience managing communications for development projects or NGOs.
• Excellent written and verbal English; Somali language is an asset.
• Demonstrated ability to follow donor communication and visibility standards.
